Education & Resources

Knowledge Is the Foundation of Confident Birth

Informed families make empowered decisions. Our education programs prepare you for every chapter of your journey into parenthood.

Our Approach to Education

We don't believe in fear-based education. Our classes are designed to replace anxiety with understanding, hesitation with confidence, and misinformation with evidence. Whether you're a first-time parent or welcoming your fourth baby, there's always more to learn — and we make learning feel safe, engaging, and even joyful.

What We Teach

Classes & Workshops

Small group and private sessions designed for connection, not just curriculum.

Comprehensive Childbirth Education

A multi-session deep dive into labor and delivery. You'll learn about the stages of labor, comfort techniques, partner support strategies, medical interventions, cesarean birth, creating a birth plan, and what to expect in the immediate postpartum period.

  • 4-6 session series or intensive weekend format
  • Partners and support people welcome
  • Hands-on comfort measure practice
  • Evidence-based, unbiased information

Breastfeeding & Infant Feeding

Prenatal lactation education that sets you up for success. Covers anatomy, latch, positioning, common challenges, pumping, milk storage, and when to seek help. Postpartum follow-up sessions available for hands-on support.

  • Prenatal preparation session
  • Postpartum in-home support available
  • Pumping and return-to-work planning
  • Judgment-free approach to all feeding choices

Newborn Care Basics

Everything you need to know about those first magical weeks: bathing, diapering, sleep safety, infant soothing, understanding newborn cues, and knowing when to call your pediatrician.

  • Hands-on practice with realistic models
  • Safe sleep environment setup
  • Car seat safety basics
  • Building confidence as a new parent

Postpartum Preparation

The fourth trimester is real — and preparing for it matters as much as preparing for birth. This class covers physical recovery, emotional changes, relationship shifts, support planning, and recognizing postpartum mood disorders.

  • Creating your postpartum support plan
  • Understanding mood changes vs. PPD
  • Meal planning and recovery nutrition
  • Partner / family role preparation
